The author of four non-fiction books, Mel Walsh is a columnist who has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Jose Mercury News and The Union. She's been nationally syndicated by King Features and now uses her advanced degree in gerontology to write Second Wind, a column all about the good life after 50. It's a buffet of inspiration, information and good humor, a survival manual for people who have found the hitting 50 or 60 or beyond isn’t the end of the road, but a gateway to a new kind of life…the one that used to be called retirement.
